The trainings and continuing education that I have acquired certainly inform the possible directions and outcomes of therapy (I’ve listed them if you’d like to peruse), AND research confirms that the connection is-hands down-the most important factor in successful outcomes. First and foremost, I work with my clients to create safety, support, and connection in our relationship. Authenticity, compassion, and curiosity are several of my biggest values as a therapist and fellow traveler on this weird, beautiful, and sometimes painful journey of human-ing. Sometimes, a dash of humor or just the right amount of challenge get sprinkled in the mix too.
I’m collaborative, flexible, and here for you. This might look like shifting therapy directions or styles depending on your needs. Sometimes we do concrete skill building and other times our work involves tuning into your body or doing more experiential work.

This is totally dependent on you! I do work primarily from an attachment-based framework that involves building security in our relationship, which takes time. For those seeking root work and deeper exploration, this often happens within the container of a longer-term therapeutic relationship.
However, sometimes a few sessions can help provide direction or grounding in times of acute stress. I have also worked with clients looking to glean some concrete coping skills in a shorter amount of time.
I often suggest starting weekly or biweekly to get some momentum. Clients can also choose to go monthly, quarterly, or as needed.
We can cater frequency and duration to whatever is going to work best for you.
